Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply when you download, access, or use Pixkit: Video & Photo Tools (the “App”), operated by Zhixiang Geng (耿志向). By using the App, you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If there is a conflict, these Terms apply to the extent permitted by Apple’s rules. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The App
Pixkit provides on-device tools for compressing videos, creating ID photos, converting Live Photos, and related editing tasks. Some features or exports require an active subscription or a one-time purchase.
ID photo requirements. Size templates are provided for convenience. Official photo requirements change and vary by country and agency, and the issuing authority makes the final decision. Check the official requirements before submitting a photo. You are responsible for having the rights to any photos and videos you process.
3. Subscriptions and purchases
The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions and, where shown, one-time purchases. Prices and plan lengths are shown in the App before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Canceling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Limited license
Subject to these Terms, Zhixiang Geng (耿志向) grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the photos, videos, documents, and other content you use with the App. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to that content and for keeping your own backups. Content stored only on your device may be lost if the App or the device is removed, reset, lost, or damaged.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the App, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, distribute modified copies, or use it in violation of applicable law or the rights of others.
7. Automatically generated results
Some features use machine-learning models provided by Apple to produce results automatically. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review them before relying on them.
8. Third-party services
The App relies on services from third parties, including Apple and Google (Firebase). Their terms and policies apply to those services, and we are not responsible for their availability or changes outside our reasonable control.
9. Intellectual property
The App, including its software, design, text, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to Zhixiang Geng (耿志向) and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
10. Availability and updates
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App when reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Zhixiang Geng (耿志向) is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from use of or inability to use the App. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply.
