Privacy Policy

Updated: September 28, 2026Operator: 耿志向

Free Cleaner analyzes the photos you authorize on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your photo library or contacts. Advertising providers process data as explained below.

1. Scope and operator

This policy describes Free Cleaner for iOS, operated by 耿志向 (Geng Zhixiang). Contact: 543097079@qq.com. The app does not require an app account.

2. Photos and videos

With your permission, the app reads authorized photo and video metadata and requests media to classify items, compare photos, measure resource sizes, preview media and compress supported videos. Derived analysis features and caches are stored on your device. The app does not send your photos, videos or analysis features to our own servers or intentionally attach them to advertising requests.

Ordinary scans do not automatically download your entire iCloud library. When you explicitly choose an online scan or select a cloud video, Apple may download the authorized media from iCloud. Photo deletions require confirmation and may synchronize through your photo-library account. Compressed videos are saved only when you request it; originals are retained.

3. Contacts and backups

Contact access is requested when you choose a contact action. The app reads supported contact fields to review duplicates, create backups and prepare restores or merges. Local backups are stored in the app’s protected storage, excluded from device backup, and can be deleted in the app. Local backups are lost when the app is removed.

If iCloud backup is enabled and you explicitly choose it, supported contact fields are uploaded to your private Apple CloudKit database associated with your iCloud account. Apple processes this data under its privacy policy. Cloud backup availability depends on your account, network, quota and the app’s enabled configuration. Notes, source-account relationships and some system metadata are not included. Restoring adds eligible missing contacts and is not a complete undo of a merge.

4. Local app data

The app stores language and appearance preferences, limited operation history, daily usage allowances, ad frequency information, cached media metadata and derived analysis features locally. Operation history contains dates and item counts, not photo identifiers. Removing the app removes its local data. PhotoKit and Contacts permissions can be changed in iOS Settings.

5. Google advertising and privacy choices

The app uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). It may display banners, native ads, low-frequency app-open and interstitial ads, and optional rewarded videos. Depending on device settings, your region, consent choices and Google’s configuration, Google and its partners may process IP addresses, approximate location, device and app information, permitted identifiers, ad interactions, product interactions, crash data and performance diagnostics.

The current app requests non-personalized ads and does not request App Tracking Transparency authorization. Non-personalized advertising is not the same as no data collection. UMP supplies available privacy choices, which can be revisited in Settings when required. Advertising availability and extra rewarded allowances depend on an ad being available and a completed reward callback.

Read Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites and apps. Provider retention, security and international processing are governed by their policies.

6. Analytics and support

This version does not include Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond and resolve the request. Do not send passwords, verification codes, private photo libraries or full contact backups. We retain support correspondence only as reasonably needed to manage the request and applicable obligations.

7. Your choices and deletion

You can limit or revoke Photos and Contacts access, delete local or available cloud backups through the app, change available advertising privacy choices, or remove the app. Revoking access does not restore previously deleted media or reverse contact merges. Deleting the app does not necessarily delete cloud backups stored in your iCloud account. Contact support for questions about data you sent to us directly.

8. Security, children and changes

We use system storage protections and verify backup integrity, but cannot guarantee that any storage or transfer is risk-free. The app is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically directed at children under 13. This policy may be updated when functionality or data practices change; the current version and effective date will appear here.
